Social Housing projects present an incredible opportunity when it comes to study the relationship between its inhabitants, its units, and its public spaces. Hence, these kinds of spaces have been designed to foster the interaction among its inhabitants, nowadays, they have to adapt to new uses that have varied from the original idea. Therefore, new types of interactions have emerged, not only with its inhabitants, but also with many devices connected to the internet and within each other, widening the complexity of these all type of interactions, and how they affect these kinds of spaces. How could this spaces evolve is one of the aims of this coursework.
The students could choose a project of social housing from a list, together with a list of future scenarios, which will portray new uses and the level of interaction within the social housing spaces. The future scenarios will guide the variations and kind of relations between its users within each student´s proposal. It is intended for students made a short research and reflection throughout its proposals, unfolding future scenarios.
The meetings with students are planned to be a lecture that complement and set a general context within the workshop theme. After that, tutors and students will debate about their proposals and how they are evolving. The final result could be a set of images or a video animation.

Instructors:
  • Santiago Albarracin FADU UBA,professor
    Architect from the Universidad Nacional de La Plata 2010, after graduating he took a postgraduate course based on Parametric Design. Furthermore, Santiago has been an assistant professor and lecturer in the Critic Analysis of Modern and Postmodern Architecture, architect Jorge Mele chair, in the University of Buenos Aires, (FADU-UBA). Currently, he is professor of undergraduate and graduate, in FADU UBA, focusing on theory, criticism, and design. He also in an assistant professor in UNLAM. Also, he taught and was guest lecturer in universities like Universidad de Palermo, Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, and Universidad de Belgrano. He is carrying out a master thesis in the Master of History and Culture of the Architecture and the City of the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella. He has been part of congress and seminar, and his independent investigations have been published in magazines and web pages. Thus, his investigations are focused on how the digital affect the city and its users
  • Cecilia Pellegrini FAPYD UNR,Associate Professor
    Architect graduated from de Faculty of Architecture, Urbanism and Design, of the National University of Rosario, Argentina, in 2018. She is a Magister candidate in History and Culture of Architecture and the Cities at Torcuato DI Tella University in Buenos Aires and developing her thesis around the subject of new ways of co-habitation and the way the impact in the design of day-to-day spaces. Since 2013 she has had an active role in the academic staff of FAPYD – UNR. She is currently an Associate Professor in History of Architecture and in Graphic Expression, and has also lectured in Photography, Architectural Representation, and Introduction to architecture. She has also participated in many workshops and co-organized international conferences such as CREA (Congreso Rosarino de Estudiantes de Arquitectura) and Cartografía de las prácticas contemporáneas: Dibujar arquitectura | Hacer arquitectura, with the presence of Fala Atelier, Diego Arraigada, Estudio Al Borde, Ana María Rigotti, Estudio Arzubialde and Colectiva Habitaria. During her student years, she worked in Estudio Arzubialde and since 2018 she is a freelance Architect, co-founder of Estudio Parte and Taller Alga (@taller.alga). She also co-founded Proyecto Canoa and won the price “Estímulo de Industrias Culturales de Espacio Santafesino en la Categoría Provincial de Diseño de Indumentaria, accesorios y objetos” in 2019. She is also a freelance photographer and participated in several art exhibitions.
  • Sigfrido Stieger FAUD, UNC,Professor
    Mgtr. Architect graduated from the Faculty of Architecture, Urbanism and Design of the National University of Córdoba (2012). In 2017 he graduated as Master in Architectural Design from ETSA UNAV, (Pamplona, Spain) and is currently pursuing a Master in History and Culture of Architecture and the Cities at EAEU UTDT (Buenos Aires, Argentina). His academic merit has allowed him to obtain scholarships for both master's degrees and since 2014 he has had an active role in the field of teaching at UNC, serving as a seconded professor architect and currently as a Lecturer in Architecture 4C. He has participated in different architectural congresses and workshops as assistant, presenting papers and coordinating work teams and he is a member of a research team at SECyT UNC. He was part of the staff of the firm Mangor&Nagel, in Copenhagen, Denmark and developed his professional activity as a partner in PASTO Arquitectos for 5 years in Córdoba, Argentina. He is currently CEO and founder of @entransito.arquitectura and he has participated in several national and international architecture competitions where he has won awards and mentions, such as: First Prize for the expansion of the Castagnino Museum in Rosario, First Prize in the competition for the relocation of housing in the Riachuelo - Barrio Orma, Second Prize for the Judicial City in San Juan, Second Prize in the competition for the Headquarters of the College of Architects of Rio Cuarto, Cordoba, among others.
